I'm probably responsible for providing less than useful instructions to
Phil.  It would appear that instead of the proper tar files, there are
are currently versions "2.17.30" on the download site.  Please refrain
from downloading and distributing them.  We expect to have functionally
equivalent properly labelled 2.17.95 releases up some time later.
