change the font for all markups

Hi,

What is the way to change the font of all markups into the \typewriter font?
I've tried what is suggested in the manual:

 (#(define fonts
    (make-pango-font-tree "Times New Roman"
                          "Nimbus Sans"
                          "Luxi Mono"
                          (/ staff-height pt 20)))

the markups font did not change.
