Which is correct :-) And the printed output does not differ, whether you use { R4. s4. } or { R2. }, since the MMR (MultiMeasureRest) is centered in the bar anyway. Also, with something like { R2.*4 }, it will often be necessary to print the rest multiple times, once in every measure that it spans.Simon:I have been Using R1 before but not knowing how to use it for others I thought R4. s4. will make up a full measure of 6/8.

A ‘R’ rest is always interpreted like { | R | }, so there will be warnings if these barchecks fail.
