Bar numbers AFAICT. Whether they are generated in the same manner as
TeX, I don't know. TeX writes the ] after, say, 7 at the moment it
cuts the page at the end of page 7. You might not be able to wave
goodbye to bar 16 in quite the same way as page 7.
