thanks for sharing your experience and the video. I watched it
completely and I think this was a nice introduction. It is particularly
good that it is a gentle introduction and you are aware that newcomers
need their time to understand it (also details like what is a back-slash).

What was the range of ages in the auditorium and their (musical) background?

I was wondering: Why don't you introduce \language "français" from the
beginning?
