OK, sorry. Instead of \line use \concat:
\concat { "B" \chordFlat "maj7" }
Also, doesn't address the issue of the chord names floating too
high above the diagrams.
To reduce the vertical gap inside the columns, override baseline-skip:
As an example, start the chord dictionary with
subtitle = \markup { \override #'(baseline-skip . 2)
and adjust the value 2 to taste.
