Ok, one could enter it using new indented lines (the code is able to
cope with those added white-space) like:
\setSystemStartDelimiterHierarchy
"1
{2
{3 4 5)
|
#6 7)
8)
9 1)"
Still terrible, and the intent of the whole exercise is to facilitate
the input for 'systemStartDelimiterHierarchy'.
This input fails the goal, imho.
Using the original 'ref-list' would make for
"1{2{3 4 5}(<6 7>8)9 1}"
Much more readable, I'd say.
