You can use manual beams:

\version "2.20.0"

\relative {
 \key g \major
 \time 2/4
 \voiceTwo
 b16[ e g] b,[ e8.]
}


or automatic settings described here:
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.20/Documentation/notation/beams

I suggest you try to reproduce a minimal example and then write here 
what's not working for you.
