Hi M Walton,

Yes this list is active, about a hundred subscribees. I personnaly
answer to the mailing list on a best effort basis, so that 's true I
might not answer for a week.
If nobody else answers, it 's probably because nobody has any idea of
the solution to the problem.
However don't forget the mailing list is free.
Concerning your point here: unfortunately playing/recording using files
is not configurable via the config file.
Instead you need to ask linphonec to do it at run time using

soundcard use files
play /somepath/play.wav
record /somepath/record.wav

With linphonecsh you can send these commands with the "generic" primary
command, such as:
linphonecsh generic "soundcard use files"
