So, after two hours of headache, I found that intltoolize is unable by
default to recognize GtkBuilder .ui files, so you have to tell it
explicitely with a special type indication into POTFILES.in
Would be nice if this transitionning have been done automatically.

However despite that I could not get any new strings, because the
Makefile rules are unable to rebuild the string list when POTFILE is
modified...

So I did the following, and you might want to do so too:
rm po/linphone.pot
cd po && make linphone.pot && make update-po

And after that you have the new strings in all the .po.

I remember a time where this intltool/gettext environment was working so
nicely that I did not have to care about anything, seems to be no more
the case now...
