Hello.
We do provide a uri handler so you can open (call) a sip:uri in Linphone Desktop by clicking on it on the browser.
However, Linphone cannot be used independently in a browser? (unlike Teams,Discord, Jitsi).
This is because :
-To do it we would have to write a _javascript_ wrapper in order to use our SDK
-We would have to write all the UI webviews to match the Desktop app
-We would be forced to use WebRTC (losing all the customization
that our media stacks allows)
-This would mean yet another platform to maintain
In short I see it as this would be a lot of work only to save your
installation time. As we already have mobile and desktop
applications, this is not worth the effort for us.
