wierd behaviour

hi,

usually when i open the lid, it takes a half a minute or so,
before mouse and keyboard are working.
only in rare occasions was this not the case.

one time i observed that the delay started happening,
after i pulled the machine from the wall socket,
and moving it to another.

in one case when i moved the machine, mouse and keyboard
refused to work at all afterwards. not even the powerbutton
worked, and i had to pull the plug and the battery to get the
machine to shutdown.

did anyone else observe similar behaviour?

on a related note, since two days ago, the vaiobat program
hangs when i start it. nothing on the machine changed.
(except that i remember moving 4 ir* device nodes from /
to /dev/ )
