Record speed measurements
Mean speeds are about one percent worse than commit ce8b81410,
presumably because the maximum number of iterations is now 128
rather than (log2(999'999'999.00 / 0.005))^2 = 2^75; assuming
5 msec per evaluation, that's two-thirds of a second vs. the age
of Earth in the theoretical worst case; one percent is not a high
price for a small constant worst case.
