[lmi] Adapting to wine-8

Vadim--I've pushed some changes today that reduce the number of
unwanted warnings after debian-testing's very recent upgrade
of 'wine'; see, e.g., commit 96a8eb5801ebd39 . I hesitate to
apply those changes to '.github/workflows/ci.yml', partly
because I wouldn't know how to test that, but also because I'm
not sure whether the unwanted warnings occur there. If they do
occur there, but are gracefully ignored, then it's probably
better to do nothing. What do you think?
