[Ltib] Installing LTIB on MPC8377EWLAN Board

Hi,

                I am trying to install LTIB on Ubuntu 10.04 for building linux images for MPC8377EWLAN Board.

      I am getting an error

      "     Installing: freescale-powerpc-linux-gnu-4.2-171.i686.rpm

            sudo /opt/freescale/ltib/usr/bin/rpm --dbpath /opt/freescale/ltib/var/lib/rpm -ivh --force --ignorearch /opt/freescale/pkgs/freescale-powerpc-linux-gnu-4.2-171.i686.rpm

            Failed to install: freescale-powerpc-linux-gnu-4.2-171.i686.rpm:

            rpm: please use alien to install rpm packages on Debian, if you are really sure use --force-debian switch. See README.Debian for more details.

Could you please suggest me the solution for this error ASAP.?

 

Can you also provide me with the detailed steps for LTIB installation and use on MPC8377EWLAN Board?
