Thinking about it, I'd prefer to keep the old tcpip_input() in order not
to break old drivers. I don't know how far PPP relies on this function.
So if you apply your patch, can you create a second message (something
like TCPIP_MSG_ETHINPUT) co-existing with the current TCPIP_MSG_INPUT,
and a second function (tcpip_ethinput())?
Or do you think this is not needed? Comments of the others are very
welcome, too!
