Howdy,
z80 and ez80 are different... ez80 is a 24 bit version of the z80. Same
opcodes are supported but more added to the ez80 to support 16Mb memory and
a few extras.
However, it is worth a look, especially if it can be modified to handle the
extra ez80 requirements.

I have never used it but did you try sdcc? It says it support the z80
family.
