Per the release scheme, 0.0.x releases are purely bug fixes, and we have
enough other changes in HEAD to release 1.1.0 (IMHO).

I do not have any idea of the effort involved to get that stable. From
reading the mailing lists, there have been enough tests that show an
improvement, and so far I have not seen a regression-in-stability
report. Looks OK to me if you guys have the time to work on this.

Let's say if the improved ACK'ing could be in HEAD within two weeks,
we could do the new release then.

It would also allow for more testing.

I was just *proposing* a new release, as the subject reads: RFC!

Yes, please speak up anyone who is actively working with HEAD code on
their targets! Your feedback is appreciated.

I am currently out of time to run tests. I hope to pick up lwIP
deployment on a new target in a few months, but not earlier...

Regards,

Leon.
