Hi,
I got still 2 comments on the locking:
1. If acces to pbuf pool was not supposed to be thread-safe, why are
pbuf_pool_free_lock and pbuf_pool_alloc_lock declared volatile?
2. @Christiaan regarding

There is no double-locking since SYS_ARCH_PROTECT macros are defined to
do nothing if (SYS_LIGHTWEIGHT_PROT == 0).
