Maybe we can surround the added fields (I'd add dest addr and dest port) by #ifdefs?
Something like

 * UDP_EXTENDED_INFO==0: append dest_addr and dest_port to every received netbuf
#define UDP_EXTENDED_INFO           0

1.3.2 here I come? :o)
