Oops, I didn't see Kieran was referring to a 16-bit int. That works like a
charm for me, I just ran the stack on an 8-bit AVR for testing purposes. I made
a few tiny fixes, but basically, it all just works.
However, 16-bit char is what I meant the real problem is.
