LYNX-DEV lynx-2.7(linux):Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host.

Ok, I have tried to install lynx-2.7, but I still see the message:

  Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host.

The funny thing is: it's a **LINUX** system,
more precicely: Linux 2.0.28, 16MB RAM, Pentium.

First I tried a precompiled version of LynX2-7, then 2.6 and 2.5, then
I compiled it myself -- no success.

Which flag must I set in the kernel configuration or which library must I
install ?
