Will Mengarini warned us that the new strictness in bookmark-file
designation via the o)ptions menu would generate confused users.

Well, it's happening.  Joe, can you add something to the CHANGES
web page which either explains how the rules for how you can state
the bookmark file location have tightened with 2.7 or simply say
that they are tighter and link to the above exchange on the list?
