In my first reply to you, I told you how to find a message in 
the lynx-dev archives where I spell out a simple example
of how to learn the use of -post_data or -get_data.

Please read the sections in the User's Guide -- found via the
online H)elp -- on these options and the earlier message
discussion for which I dug out the reference for you.

PS: GET and POST are defined in the HTTP protocol, although
where they appear in a METHOD definition in a form is defined
in the HTTP specifications.  Both of these can be found via
the online H)elp although I agree that the are not light
reading.
