Here is an edited page containing bad html.
The problem is that the <head>... is in the middle of the body.
After that is a PRE block.
Both fotemods and ac-0.23 process the <head> ok, but
the new parser doesn't recognize the PRE block.
Also (unrelated), when you hit \ to view html source then p
to print, the source may contain line breaks that aren't in the
real source. This can alter the appearance of the page.
In the case of the ISN page below, there was a line break like
...<a href="whatever"><
img ...></a>
The entire < img ...> came out literally. (I removed this line break in the
text below.)
So when describing to newbies how to download source, it's probably better to
tell them to hit backspace then d to download it from the link on the history
page, so they will be sure to get the actual source and not a processed version.
