LYNX-DEV Bug in Lynx2.7.1

Hi .. i just found this:

[I typed all as a normal user (not root)]
Titan:/$ id    
uid=501(eross) gid=100(users) groups=100(users)

Titan:/$ uname -a
Linux Titan 2.1.50 #33 Fri Aug 15 13:19:20 CST 1997 i586 unknown

Titan:/$ lynx -version
Lynx Version 2.7.1 (1997)
.....

If a start Lynx from a not readable(but walkable) dir :

Titan:/$ ls -l
blabla..
drwxr-x--x  42 root     root         4096 Aug 16 01:11 root
...

Titan:/root$ lynx .

I got a : 'Alert!: This directory is not readable.'. Good.
But, I know there's some dir in the root directory:

Titan:/root/download$ lynx .

I got 'Alert!: Unable to connect to FTP host.', and the screen charset
becames very funny..

well, i guess it's just an easy bug. (i dont have the source here, but it
seems to be just a couple of 'if' missing, or something with the parent
dir).
