        An explanation and instruction on what to do about that are in
the distribution's PROBLEMS file.  But there may be an additional, as
yet unsolved problem, with the htons(), or ntohs(), or related typecasts
with VMS v7.1 (perhaps DEC has put out a patch for it, though; at least
one can hope :).
