Although there have been some postings about the theoretical possibility
of using lynx with Windows 3.x, I don't believe that anyone has actually
succeeded in making a lynx executable that functions in Windows 3.x,
either as a Windows program or as a DOS program that works in a DOS
window. If you have Windows 3.1, you have DOS and can run lynx after
exiting from Windows. You will need a program to make the ppp or slip
connection and can then run lynx. The DOS port does not do ftp or
news URL's, unless you have a proxy. For information on the port and
how to set it up, see "http://www.fdisk.com/doslynx/lynxport.htm";.
Additional information can be had in the package that I make available.
See "http://www.rahul.net/dkaufman/lynx2.8.1dev.9-DOSdj.zip"; or
"ftp://ftp.rahul.net/pub/dkaufman/lynx2.8.1dev.9-DOSdj.zip";.
