Well...there IS a reason the newest versions of lynx are always first made
available as "lynxtest" for a couple of weeks before being setup as the
production "lynx". The problem should be corrected now.
Anyway...I think what happened is that I recently started enabling
the --enable-gzip-help option when doing the configure in order
to save some disk space but I think the scripts I wrote a while back
that automate building, customizing, and installing new versions of
lynxtest forgot to take into account the changes a "make install" normally
does when the --enable-gzip-help option is enabled. I'll have to check.

I like to pull them from:
ftp://sol.slcc.edu/pub/lynx/current/
but http://lynx.browser.org/ should lead you to somewhere you can get them.
