There is an additional complication: when input string too long
we see only a part and should sometimes "scroll" it to see the contents.
So the prompt also reasonable in such scrolling,
not only when we have changed something.
It is safer to issue a prompt than say mercy (and forms documents
usually not cached and causing a delay).
