sure - but that's just rehashing the argument that no one uses fixed-width
fonts anymore.
( but this _is_ lynx, right? ;-)

I added the whitespace change - it was harmless (not even as large as when
I have to regenerate the configure script - which I did this time).
Writing code to make everyone pleased with the effect is nontrivial.
Anyway - I'm mostly caught up, except for some stuff like Ilya'a patches
which I've not studied (there was some dispute about the keymap). I'll
get to those first in the next patch, unless this one drags on into
tomorrow.
