That is, if I type in "ESC bar-bl" and then hit TAB, it THEN
fills out the rest ("etch", completing "bar-bletch"), and
THEN we have to hit RETURN to make it happen.


Lynx wouldn't be the first program to have an emacs-mode;
ksh, I believe, also has one.
