lynx-dev identifying config/version info

If other lynx hackers are like me, they
probably have a bin full of lynx binaries
compiled with various options. It would be
nice if there were more info about the configuration
in a compiled binary... Any suggestions how this could
be done? I don't see any #ident strings in the code.
How should it be saved/output? Should -version be augmented
to display configuration info? (say, -version+config...)
