They are not completely orthogonal - IMO your enhanced format adds to
the impression that the numbers are meaningful, when they may not be.
Well, go ahead, if you like to watch ETA numbers... but I ask that
this can be made configurable at least. (As we already have choice
between KB and bytes.) Actually, probably anything that makes lynx
significantly more 'verbose' should be a choice.
I though I could also interest you in looking more into the byte
counting business and maybe improve it...

Implied in my remarks is that I never thought "(stalled)" was a good
user interface....
