maybe we don't read the same newspapers & magazines (smile).
how about `cf', which is actually more correct?
maybe it's one of those geographic things:
i lived in the USA for 4 years of graduate school
without noticing people there say `fit', where i say `fitted';
i grew up in the UK without noticing people saying `whilst',
where i have always said `while';
home-grown Canadians generally take a common-sense middling view of things.

anyway, i accept that Lynx docs sb (should be) easy for non-natives,
so if anyone wants to go thro' & replace `cp' with `see', no problem;
i've done my stint (work quota) for this week.
