My method is simple overwrite; great for quota-confined shell account.
before overwrite: -rw-r--r-- 1 user 135863 Nov 19 2001 lynx.cfg
after overwrite: -rw-r--r-- 1 user 12454 Aug 26 11:49 lynx.cfg
