But that's the case for which EXTERNAL is useful.
You can define more than one EXTERNAL command.

OK, for what is EXTERNAL good, and how uzed?

EXTERNAL defines an application to run with the given URL (depending on
whether it's the page or the link).  If you have more than one defined,
lynx shows a popup menu to choose from.
