Sorry for the late reply, I'm just back from a week of Tae Kwon-Do
training in Devon without net access. It'll take me a few days to
work through my backlog.

If all known bugs are resolved, the changes seem incremental enough
to warrant rolling 1.4.6 without a pre-release as soon as a couple
of weeks without bug reports and new patch commits have gone by. If
you give me until the weekend I'll run the testsuite on all the
architectures I have access to.
