Hi Eric,

Apologies for not having looked at any of this properly yet: I've just
got back from a long weekend break, and will be away again from Thursday
morning through Monday morning!

By (brief) inspection, all of what you have applied recently looks good
from here. Excellent even! :-) I'd like to spend a little time looking
over everything more carefully, and run some big package builds with
various autoconf releases using this candidate before we make the
release proper.

Pending the above, certainly.

You have shepherded the release to where it is. If you'd like to do
the whole thing, *I* would be happy to help *you*! If you'd rather
I roll the thing up, that's fine too. Until I've had time to look at
everything properly late next week, feel free to make an alpha release,
and upload to alpha.gnu.org. You can probably follow the instructions
in HACKING from CVS libtool without much modification should you wish
to do that.

Indeed. And if you get bored of waiting for the end of next week, I'd
be delighted for you to start on the patch ports :-D

Cheers,
        Gary.
