Heya all!
At long last this is finally merged into master!

I've removed the setup.py.in requirement so the "old style deployment"
is still 100% working. However, you can now set up and run your
virtualenv via:
./bootstrap.sh && ./configure && make
Which is much simpler!
We should update the HackingHOWTO also probably, but it's not urgent.
