Is or would it be possible to have mediagoblin run on a different server from the host with the media?

For example:
Run mediagoblin on server at home or on a different host. The media is stored on a friends unlimited storage and bandwidth server that can't run mediagoblin.
  • The media is given directly to the home server and mediagoblin processes it and uploads it to the remote media storage server.
  • The media is processed and uploaded separately then mediagoblin detects or is informed that new media is on the remote media host and adds it to its database.
  • Mediagoblin downloads the media then processes it and reuploads it.

  • Make the remote media storage transparent via sshfs or ftp mount point of the remote media storage. Really easy way to achieve goal?

  • Home server up bandwidth is around +/- 80kbs at best.

Processing does includes conversion.

Thanks to all.
