[MIT-Scheme-devel] Help: Scheme on Windows XP |

I need help, please. I've just installed GNU/MIT Scheme in my PC with 2 GB RAM on Windows XP . I tested it for simple operations such as "(* 8 3)" and it worked well when evaluated. But when I tried to test "(define x 10)" it simply didn't work. It doesn't recognize "x" as a variable. It seems a trouble related to Environment and Binding, but I don't know enough to fix it.
