Follow-up Comment #8, bug #9356 (project mldonkey): This is probably caused by the "neighbours" system which "proposes" sources for files from our known clients. So technically this behaviour isn't a bug but it is unnecessary (the code presumably dates to a time when mldonkey had problems with searching or at least before the implmeentation of overnet/kademlia) and highly undesirable as at least one client (emule) bans if it receives too many queries for files it isn't sharing or downloading.
