[Mldonkey-users] lowid

Hello,
long ago.. in the past... I made the mistake and spend much time and
tried many configurations before someone told me that I had to download
a patch and recompile mldonkey to avoid lowid's and that it had nothing
to do with my configuration.

Is that still the case?

Or is (instead) a (not bloated) step-by-step guide available that
explaines how I can fix this problem? I tried google and the only stuff
I found were bloated "might", "could", "would", "probably" and "maybe"
explanations that didn't help.
