The patch is attached. It adds the build specification to the SSL library 
search path, tested on Deban Sid, emulating the build system which runs 
configure with --build=x86_64-linux-gnu 

If you want to use the patch, then after applying the patch to the, run the "./bootstrap" in monit directory to regenerate the 
configure script.
