ok, this is indeed one of my files (it's a .cvsignore file which is used, in CVS, for the simultaneous purpose of placeholding what in the repository is an empty directory and for ignoring all the files which later appear in that directory).
it doesn't explain why such rows were stored in the first place. the storage layer should not do that. I'm a bit surprised. I'll have to look into it further. probably the cvs importer is being a little dim about this, as it is the only priviledged code which writes file edges directly.
The DB was directly created by the CVS importer, without any further changes, so whatever's in there, it's definitely the cvs importer that did it :-)
