ok, this is indeed one of my files (it's a .cvsignore file which is 
used, in CVS, for the simultaneous purpose of placeholding what in the

The DB was directly created by the CVS importer, without any further 
changes, so whatever's in there, it's definitely the cvs importer that 
did it :-)
