So, a remote unix socket is ssh+ux: and a local unix socket is local:?
I'd rather use ssh+X: and X: for consistency 0=)
(with X=ux, unix, named, dunno...)

Agree, but also, why can't the existing file:// scheme notice when the
file is a socket rather than a database?
