For this release I decided to use included PCRE (or, better said,
"included everything"), on FreeBSD.

I'm still on the idea that re-using system libraries is "good" (e.g. if they get a system-specific security fix or even a generic one) and will
investigate in that more deeply in the future...

I've just pushed two fixes to the repository that were causing the use of an external pcre to fail.
