I hadn't really noticed the space-eating issue before, since
I don't usually (a) turn wrapping on and (b) add that much
space to a line. Still, it sounds like a major annoyance;
I'd be for fixing it.
Mikko Ruuska brought up a similar wrapping issue a few days
ago, about how wrapping between words eats a space from the
end of the line in nano 1.1.10 but doesn't in Pico. This is
only a minor annoyance, but I'd be for fixing it too; it
isn't that annoying when writing code, configuration files,
etc., but when typing up text for other things, which I've
been doing a bit more of lately, it is, because you have to
add a space every time you merge two lines together. (Yes,
I know I could justify the paragraph, but if the
indentation is unusual, that isn't feasible.)
In other news, I've made a minor cleanup to the paragraph
searching patch and synced it with CVS, and I'm going to
start doing some complex testing of quote36b.patch today.
(The new screen update routines are working out fine,
afaict; however, I need to test how the color routines hold
up when using complex combinations of regexes.)
