For two weeks I haven't been able to send to address@hidden Emails
bounce back with error "SMTP; 451 Could not complete sender verify
callout". I'm sending to address@hidden until my sysadmin figures
out how to fix it. Here are the five replies I sent that didn't go
through. Only the last one matters.

Try it with version 1.1.12; that should work fine without setting
LC_MESSAGES.

Hi Andrzej,

I'm happy to say both features already exist in Nano 1.1.12. I use
        nano -r -6
to make Nano wrap at 6 columns from the right edge. To turn on file
backup, you can start Nano with -B. The backup copy of [file] is saved as
[file]~

Do you mean with konsole? What version do you have? I've seen similar
bugs under konsole and some other terminals. The problem doesn't seem to
be in Nano, and I don't think anyone here knows how to fix it.

I get a similar problem on Linux with Konsole version 1.0.1. Typing
Backspace sometimes leaves the character behind. But the problem
doesn't occur in Konsole 1.1.

Here are links to other reports of Nano display bugs in various
terminals. The first four are about Konsole.

I'm pretty sure it isn't a bug in Nano. Seems likely it's a FreeBSD bug.
Or, there might be a bug in the ncurses library, which Nano uses.

ncurses.

So I installed ncurses version 5.3.20021012, and the problem on Konsole
went away (I was using 5.2.20010303 before). Does this fix your problems?
